Abstract

The aim of this pilot observatory study is to determine the effect of treating and preventing COVID-19 infection by using high dose of natural Prebiotics and Vitamin C.

Twenty patients of confirmed Covid 19 infection had been treated by three in one , Blend of powder of natural acacias and Baobab for three days, their families  and close contacts had been given the same mixtures dosages but less frequently for two weeks.

Their clinical status had been observed closely, their complete blood counts , C reactive protein and PCR rapid testing for Covid 19 had been done before taking the supplements and three days afterward.

None of the twenty patients died , 16 patients out of twenty had been improving clinically, their Monocytes counts and PCR dropped significantly and their PCR tuned negative after three days, the other 4 patients continued to improve slowly with borderline decrease in their Monocytes counts and CRP and continued to test positive for Covid-19 .

All the 20 patients families and close contacts continued to be clinically well with no symptoms, though 12 out of the 84 contacts tested positive for Covid 19.

The combinations of natural acacias and vitamin C significantly helped in treating and preventing Covid 19 infection .

Larger double blind study is needed to assure the significant effect of the Blend.
